Director of Public Affairs and Communications for the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Chief Superintendent Chrisly Skippings confirmed to ZNS News that a person is in custody assisting police with their investigation into the death of a three month old infant.
“The family friend believed the child was asleep and shortly thereafter realized the child was unresponsive. The child was taken to hospital via private vehicle where medical assistance was rendered. However, it was confirmed that there was no signs of life. The child was also observed with injuries to the face. As a result, the 29 year old family friend was taken into custody and is assisting police with the investigations at this particular time.”
