During his speech at a Progressive Liberal Party rally at the Queen Elizabeth Sports Center, Prime Minister and PLP Leader, the Hon. Philip Davis appealed to the public for a peaceful election.
He told supporters, “friends your right to vote is precious. Let us come together and exercise that right to choose the kind of government and the kind of future we all want. And please, please, I ask our opponents to observe the dignity of the day. Stop the crazy antics we have seen in the two by-elections held in this term. Crazy Junkanoo dancing is one thing, but do not try to disrupt the election process. No need to fuss and fight and carry on. We only have one Bahamas so let’s act accordingly.”
