The family and friends of Kennedy Ferguson, 26, will be holding a fundraiser to aid in her fight against breast cancer.
Ferguson’s mother, Bridgette Goodridge, spoke to ZNS news about her condition. “Kennedy is back on chemo. The cancer medication has caused her to have strokes and the doctors, for a while, the couldn’t figure out why a twenty six year old was stroking so much but finally they put her back on chemo and a stronger blood thinner and that’s now working. This is the first time in three months Kennedy didn’t have to be hospitalized but because of the medication so much of it in her system, her immune system is very low. She’s very weak, always tired and she has to be so careful. She can’t pick up even a common cold right now.”
Ms. Goodridge appealed to the public for assistance. “I want everyone to please come out and help Kennedy cause she has been through the wringer, ya know, and her spirits are still high. Unfortunately she won’t be able to come out because of her condition but she will appreciate everyone that comes out and support her.”
The Grill and Chill medical fundraiser in aid of Kennedy’s fight will be held at Yandis Christmas Tree Stand on Fort Charlotte this Saturday.
