Minister of Labour and the Public Service, the Hon. Pia Glover-Rolle visited a job fair hosted by the British Colonial Hilton at the Andre Rodgers Stadium on Wednesday.
Glover-Rolle said, “its always important that we drive our unemployment numbers down and this today is a testament that more persons will be employed at this great property.”
The Minister also spoke of the Department of Labour’s plans to host more jobs fairs. “There’s going to be a Labour On The Blocks and a Campus On The Blocks that’s coming up again before the end of the year, we looking at October 31st and also November 18th. Of course we will make sure that we concretize those dates and we’ll put out our necessary advertisements.”
The British Colonial Hilton is set to reopen in December.
