The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) held a High-Level Media Roundtable for Bahamian media representatives, on June 3, 2026, during the Bank’s 56th Annual Meeting, held at Baha Mar Convention Centre. The Roundtable was noted as an exclusive engagement with the Presidents of three Multilateral Development Banks, namely CDB President Daniel M. Best; Executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) Gisela Sánchez; and President of the OPEC Fund for International Development Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa.
Bahamian media representatives were: Nassau Guardian Senior Business Reporter Chester Robards; Executive Producer of Our News and Our TV Jerome Sawyer and Our News Reporter Danielle Miller; Bahamas Information Services Senior Information Officer Assigned to the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance Eric Rose; and ZNS News Editor Cleopatra Murphy. Media took the opportunity to question the presidents on various topics, namely regional economic responses to issues raised by current geo-political tensions in the Middle East; opportunities for collaboration between Caribbean and Central and Latin American economies; digital connectivity and infrastructure building; the address of opportunities for regional content creators; and Orange-Economy support initiatives for regional artists and cultural creatives.
