Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service, the Hon. Fred Mitchell spoke to members of the media giving a preview of the upcoming CARICOM meeting to be held the in The Bahamas in February.

“Amongst the themes, which you see from the announcement that was made by CARICOM, will be the fact that we are both celebrating the fiftieth anniversaries of our founding and to increase the issue of regional cooperation on the COVID pandemic which we’re still suffering from. The question of climate change, renewable energy, advocacy by small island and lower island coastal developing states.”

The meetings are expected to be held on February 16-18, 2023 where Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis will serve as Chairman. Dame Janet Bostwick is also expected to be honoured with the triennial award for women.
