The Children’s Emergency Hostel, which has been in existence for some sixty years and receives subventions from the central government, finds itself in dire straits financially.

President of the Hostel, Arthur Peet said, “we are having some real dry time now and since the epidemic whatever support we got has diminished and right now our overdraft at the bank is threatening us just to keep the institution current.”

The Hostel’s Business Manager, A. Charlene Gibson informed that, “we’ve experienced a tremendous drop in the amount of donation that we receive from corporate Bahamas as well as personal personnel and international donors.”

Anyone wishing to assist can deposit monetary donations at the Hostel bank account at First Caribbean International Bank or on their account at local grocers.
