Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander addressed concerns voiced by President of the National Neighbourhood Watch Council, Keno Wong who expressed that a breakdown in the relationship between the police and the Council has led to an increase in certain criminal activity.”
Fernander said, “he knows that our doors are open. All of those matter that were occurring during the Christmas from the Neightbourhood Watch from an area, I won’t call the name, this individual was calling me every hour on the hour as he saw thing play out. So I don’t know how the President got to that. This is a time for coming together. And if its any concern my door is always open, he should reach out. But myself and even Superintendent Pratt and Assistant Commissioner Anthony Rolle they’re in constant communication with their neighbourhood watch crew. And not only saturation patrol vehicles but the neighbourhood police vehicles are there.”
The National Neighbourhood Watch Council was launched in May, 2018.
