Government Officials Join in to ‘Light It Up Blue’ for Autism Awareness

Government officials joined organizers and stakeholders at REACH’s Autism Strong “Light It Up Blue 2022” World Autism Awareness Day Ceremony, held as a drive-up event, at Queen’s College, on April 2, 2022. Among those speaking from the government included Minister of Social Services and Urban Development the Hon. Obadiah Wilchcombe; Minister of National Security the Hon. Wayne Munroe; Minister of State at the Ministry of Education and Technical & Vocational Training the Hon. Zane Lightbourne; and Acting Director General of Tourism and REACH Board Member Latia Duncombe (serving as Mistress of Ceremony).

Also in attendance was Senator the Hon. Michela Barnett Ellis, and other officials. There were performances, giveaways and Easter baskets for the children, as well as presentations to the 2022 REACH Star Student Honourees; and the 2022 REACH Honouree Jacqueline Whylly.
