Leader of the Opposition and Member of Parliament for Marco City, the Hon. Michael Pintard commented on the government’s plan to make major changes to Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) while contributing to the 2023-2024 mid-year budget debate in the House Of Assembly on Wednesday.
Pintard said, “in defense of this administration’s horrible handling of their negotiations and arrangements. The point this Minister makes is that, ‘here is what the deal is not.’ Well my God, we hired them to tell us what the deal is. And so we are concerned that after that presentation we are still not clearer on what the nature of the arrangement is.”
The Opposition Leader’s comments came after the contribution of Minister of Transport and Energy and Member of Parliament for Elizabeth, the Hon. Jobeth Coleby-Davis.
