The Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training, the Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin gave an update on school attendance in the House Of Assembly on Wednesday.
Hanna Martin said, “based on our EMIS, which is our system that monitors attendance, that for the month of September, and its qualified because they’re gonna cross reference by going on the ground speaking to teachers etc., but the EMIS is showing an attendance rate of over 95%.”
The Minister further stated, “we prioritize getting children of the street and into the classroom.”
