A woman was shot and killed on Lily Of the Valley Corner on Thursday while in a vehicle along with three others including a two year old male who was also shot.
Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings was on the scene where she briefed reporters. ”Three females and a male toddler, aged 2, were inside a gray small japanese vehicle when a male emerged from nearby bushes and opened fire.”
The driver of the vehicle then drove to a nearby police station on Quakoo Street. According to Skippings “emergency services personnel were notified, they responded, they took an adult female and the toddler child to hospital where the adult female succumbed to her injuries and the child is now in critical condition with gunshot injuries to the head.”
Police have arrested a suspect who is know to them. Skippings said, “we were actually looking for him in connection to another matter.”
The victim of this latest incident, who was unofficially identified as Renee Gray, brings the number of women shot since the start of the year to five.
