The Minister of National Security, the Honorable Wayne R. Munroe, Q.C., escorted by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Paul Rolle, toured the Royal Bahamas Police Force locations on Abaco Island, Bahamas on Friday 25 February 2022. The purpose of the visit was to determine the needs of the Royal Bahamas Police Force and to meet and hear the concerns of the men and women that serve within this prestigious
organization.
Accompanying the Minister from the Ministry of National Security was Mrs. Cheryl Darville, Permanent Secretary, and Mr. Delgardo Forbes, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary. During the visit, the Minister toured the Treasure Cay, Cooper’s Town, and the current and proposed site for the Marsh Harbour Police Station. Additionally, the Commissioner outlined the plans for the Marine Division site in Marsh Harbour.
After the tour the Minister lamented on the importance of such a visit with respect to ensuring that as part of the budgetary process the Royal Bahamas Police Force is provided the necessary resources to effectively carry out its mandate.
