Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training, the Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin delivered the keynote address on the first day of the 2025 Public School Administrators Conclave on Monday.
Hanna Martin told the gathering, “we know that negative social conditions can run interference, that many children suffer trauma and face other challenges and for them the task is even greater and for you too. But we also know that school is their saving grace and we must act to provide the support so that they do not fall between the cracks. To equip our leaders in this mission we must ensure your continuous professional development and professional support. We must facilitate enlightened pedagogy and construct a living curriculum that aligns the student with the future.”
The minister assured administrators of the government’s commitment to education as a national priority. She said, “we understand the critical partnership and the dire urgency of education reform particularly in a post pandemic rapidly evolving national and global reality. Our message has been consistent over this term, our children are our most valuable resource. The succeeding generation must be adequately prepared to infuse our national development with excellence.”
The two day conclave is being held under the theme Transformational Leadership: Building Capacity, Raising Standards, Achieving Excellence.
