Officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force led by Commissioner Shanta Knowles marched to Christ Church Cathedral on Sunday where their annual church service was held.
Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Munroe addressed those in attendance. He said, “men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force have with courage, integrity and loyalty sacrificed themselves to provide safer communities to this country. Recently, as a part of this administration’s all of government, all of society effort you have done your part in execution the five pillar strategy for public safety: prevention, policing, prosecution, punishment and rehabilitation. You’ve executed with vigor.”
Munroe continued saying, “we were all reminded in the Garden of Remembrance that you lay down your lives not only for your friends but for those who doubt you, those who second guess you, those who, quite frankly, may dislike you and in doing so you can truly be called the friends of Christ.”
Commissioner Knowles expressed gratitude for the prayers of council from members of the clergy over the years.
