In less than one month there have been four traffic fatalities on the island of Grand Bahama. Police have closed three of those cases. However, the driver involved in the latest traffic death is still at large.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Stephen Rolle gave an update on the traffic matters being investigated. “The first three have been investigated by the police and those matters will be forwarded to the Coroner’s for further investigation. Those three matters the drivers, they would have stayed on the scene after the accident and they assisted the police with their investigations. Those matters are near a closing.”
As to the latest incident that claimed the life of a female pedestrian, Rolle said, “we are looking at some information that we would have got as relates to a black SUV, that’s all that we have at this time and we’re asking anyone who was in that area during this incident to please come forward.”
The family members of the victim, identified as Kimberly Fritz, have also made public appeals for the driver to surrender.
