The Princess Margaret Hospital in conjunction with the Governor General’s Volunteer Bahamas Program held a pop up blood drive at the Mall At Marathon this weekend.

Governor General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Cornelius Smith was on hand for the event which saw volunteers including ZNS Marketing Consultant Dwaine Wallace, donate blood.

Wallace told ZNS News, “we can’t realistically talk about something that we believe in and not participate actively. And so we’re here today because we wanted, not only, to show our support but we wanted to give some blood so that the platform and the program knows that we are committed.”

He went further saying, “the thing is when we volunteer and we give back and everybody does a little, it means we get a lot done.”
