Royal Caribbean ‘Adventure of the Seas’ arrives in Nassau

We now know more about what the first passengers on the Royal Caribbean Cruise-line Adventure of the Seas – since the COVID-19 pandemic – will experience when they arrive in the Bahamas.

The fifteen-deck cruise ship arrived in The Bahamas Tuesday with only crew members onboard to begin home-porting here. The ship was escorted steadily into the harbour with a grand water salute courtesy of the Nassau Harbour Pilots Association.

The vessel leaves port this Saturday afternoon to begin its 7-night Bahamas and perfect day summer series.

Passengers will be greeted to a warm Bahamian “Party in da Backyard” which will include drinks courtesy of Commonwealth Brewery, live music, junkanoo performances and drills by LJM Maritime Academy students.

Nassau Cruise Port CEO Mike Maura outlined the economic benefits that The Bahamas will experience as the cruise industry rebounds. He encourages Bahamians to participate in this new venture by starting a cruise vacation in Nassau instead of flying abroad.
