The Member of Parliament for South and Central Abaco, the Hon. John Pinder hosted constituents to a Christmas in The Park event on Tuesday.
Pinder told ZNS News, “this is a really special time of year. It’s the holidays, it’s Christmas time but more so I love seeing smiles on children’s faces. So what we do, me and my friends come out here and we give out free gifts. We have free raffle that there’s many good prizes like TVs and tablets and small watches. We have all the great food vendors here with amazing food. We have treats for the adults. We have music going all night long. We have Junkanoo.”
The Member of Parliament added, “this is Abaco showing our resilience. This is Abaco putting a smile on our face and enjoying the holidays, particularly for the youth, our next generation is our greatest resource. So I am pleased to have great partners like Wilkem Waste, J&G Pavers, Newbold Construction, Conch Inn and the Thompson Group to help me put on an event just like this to put smiles on children’s faces across Abaco.”
