Despite delays caused by the pandemic and covid-19 restrictions, Water and Sewerage operations on Abaco are right on schedule for completion.
Water and Sewerage executive chairman Adrian Gibson shared the news as officials toured ongoing works at facilities on the island last week.
Water tank projects in the settlements of Marsh Harbour and Treasure Cay are expected to wrap up in the next four weeks.
“This is like I said 45 thousand gallons, but this is a drop in the bucket to what they need.
“When we had the 250 thousand gallon tank, even that was lower than their needs they’d outgrown that and so now we are meeting that and exceeding that with this new tank the 250 thousand gallon, imperial gallon per-day tank that was completely blown away by the storm.
“Now we are going to put in place new storage facilities and storage facilities that anticipate growth in Treasure Cay, Green Turtle Cay and the surrounding areas.
