Director of Aviation, Dr. Kenneth Romer has revealed the completion of phase one of renovations at the Lynden Pindling International Airport at a cost of $10 million.
Dr. Romer recently spoke with reporters about what next in the process. He said, “we know that they launched a RFP (request for proposal) just a few months ago for the first ever airport hotel.”
Extensive renovations are also underway at airports across the country. Dr. Romer explained, “we have the airport in Exuma, that right now is currently in active construction mode. We announced Black Point SI development going on right now. We have developments happening in Deadman’s Cay, Long Island. a development happening in Arthur’s Town and development also happening in New Bight.”
The North Eleuthera International Airport and the Mayaguana Airport are also currently under construction.
