Lyford Cay Foundations’ Executive Director, Dr. Nicola Virgill-Rolle, recently paid a courtesy call on President of the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI), Dr. Robert W. Robertson. For almost 30 years, Lyford Cay Foundations has provided scholarships for students to pursue post-secondary education, including technical and vocational scholarships.
Through its Cutillas Scholars program, Lyford Cay Foundations has also supported students studying at BTVI. During Dr. Virgill-Rolle’s visit to BTVI’s Old Trail Road campus, she and Dr. Robertson discussed how current and prospective students can be assisted. Dr. Robertson underscored that the institute is proud to continue its partnership with Lyford Cay Foundations, as their mandate to ‘educate, inspire and enrich the community for the progress and betterment of all’ goes hand in hand with BTVI’s mission, ‘To provide learning opportunities to enable individuals to be globally competitive and economically independent.’ Dr. Virgill-Rolle then acknowledged the ongoing support of
Lyford Cay Foundation’s board and benefactors who make the foundation a “lasting source of benefit to The Bahamas.”
