Covid-19 has claimed two more lives in the Bahamas, that of a 37-year-old woman and a 91-year-old man, now bringing the death count due to the virus to 196, based on the latest data from the Ministry of Health.
The woman is a resident of New Providence who died on Wednesday, April 21st.
The male deceased is a resident of Grand Bahama, who succumbed on Tuesday, April 20th.
The country has recorded 50 new cases of covid-19, now bringing the total count to 9,976.
By breakdown, 41 of the new infections are on New Providence, 5 on Grand Bahama, 1 in the Berry Islands and 3 on Exuma.
Two of the New Providence cases have a history of travel in the last 14 days, along with the single berry islands case.
Men account for 25 of the cases, and women 25.
When it comes to hospitalizations, that number is at 49, with 4 people in the intensive care unit.
There are 9,215 recoveries, with 492 active cases.
