The Ministry of Health & Wellness confirms the arrival of the forensic (DNA) reports commissioned by the Government of The Bahamas via the Ministry, following the tragic plane crash in North Andros on July 10,
2026.
The reports provide the scientific analysis that enables the identities of the passengers involved in the crash to be confirmed. The forensic documents are now under the jurisdiction of the Chief Forensic Pathologist at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) and are being reviewed. After the review process, the Chief Forensic Pathologist will liaise with the Coroner on next steps to facilitate the release and transfer of the deceased to the designated funeral homes for final arrangements.
The Ministry of Health & Wellness once again extends condolences to the families of the deceased and thanks them for their patience during this most difficult of circumstances.
