A woman was fatally shot in a triple shooting in the area of Ragged Island Street on Wednesday. Another female and one male were taken to hospital from the scene.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Damian Robinson was on the scene where he provided details of the incident to reporters. He said, “shortly after seven we got a report of gunshots emanating from the Ragged Island Street area. Upon police arrival we received information where three persons were shot, two females and one male, one female succumbed at the scene.”
Robinson said the deceased was in custody approximately two weeks prior to her death. She was questioned about another recent murder.
The victim’s nephew, Ian Strachan, who was at the scene, unofficially identified her as 39 year old, Deisha Bethel.
