Former Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Killarney, the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis was asked whether he intended to join the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) on Thursday.
The question arose from a photograph circulating on social media with a script saying Dr. Minnis; former DNA Leader and Founder, Branville McCartney and former Parliamentarian, Desmond Bannister would all join the newly reformed DNA ahead of the next general election.
Dr. Minnis indicated to reporters that the shirt he was wearing was not in the color of the DNA. He said, “green? I’m wearing pink. This is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I advise the entire Bahamas to wear pink this month.”
The former Prime Minister also said, “I’m running in Killarney. However its done you will know because you will see Minnis name on the ballot, And I’ve told my people as I go through, when you go to that poll you look for Minnis, M-I-N-N-I-S. Many does say menace, it’s not menace, its Minnis.
