The Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Aviation was made aware of the notice of temporary suspension of services by Western Air into North Eleuthera due to operational concerns.
These ongoing concerns are being addressed by the Project teams at The Ministry of Works, The International Development Bank (IBD), along with other critical project stakeholders who have oversight for the mobilization and completion of critical airside works.
In the interim, we are assured that urgent remediation measures are being explored to avert any further disruption to air services into North Eleuthera, while prioritizing the safety of all airport users and continuing with the comprehensive aerodrome development at The North Eleuthera International Airport.
