Grand Bahama residents received mammograms in New Providence at Doctor’s Hospital. This was made possible through a partnership between Doctor’s Hospital and the Mammogram Access Program.
Member of Parliament for East Grand Bahama, the Hon. Kwasi Thompson commended all involved in the effort. “It’s important for my constituents in East Grand Bahama, who have been challenged since Hurricane Dorian, challenged since the pandemic and they notice that the amount of persons getting mammograms have gone down. Persons have been unfortunately focused with other immediate needs. And so, we want to thank Doctor’s Hospital, we want to thank MAPS for this initiative and starting in east Grand Bahama.”
Over one hundred Grand Bahamian women had the procedure done over a three day period.
