The Free National Movement (FNM) held rallies on the islands of Exuma and Grand Bahama on Saturday.
The FNM candidate for Exuma and Ragged Island, Debra Moxey-Rolle outlined plans should the Party form the next government. She said, “a Free National Movement government will eliminate VAT on every essential grocery item. Will eliminate VAT on every medical cost and we will deliver $200 monthly support payments to working parents to help with the cost of raising children.”
Party Leader, Michael Pintard told the supporters gathered, “if you ask your candidate, Debbie, what’s important to Exumians she doesn’t share her opinion only, she shares with the country what you have said to her. That the high cost of living has to be dealt with. That the water supply is inadequate. That the electricity is inadequate. That housing is required by many Exumians who are now ready to own a piece of the rock.”
The FNM is expected to hold a rally in Bullock’s Harbour, Berry Islands on Monday.
