Minister of Works and Family Island Affairs, the Hon. Clay Sweeting spoke about digitization efforts within his ministry during his budget presentation in the House of Assembly this week.
Sweeting said, “the Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs has embarked upon the most ambitious digitalize transformation program in its history.”
The minister went on to say the move is about government working smarter. New systems will manage the services of the ministry including drainage, asset tracking, permit approvals, contractor payments and more. He said, “ministry leadership will be able to monitor critical infrastructure operations in real time.”
The budget debate continues in the House Of Assembly next week.
