Police are reporting the country’s latest homicide. The body of a male was found on the second story of a building on Pilgrim Avenue. Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings told members of the media, “it was shortly after 10am this morning when Police were alerted that a male was found sitting at the top of a stairwell.”

The man was found slumped over the metal railing at the top of the stairs of the two story building. Stab wounds were evident about his upper body. It is believed that the man was there for about four hours before being found. Superintendent Skippings said, “from what the injuries that we observed we can say that there was a struggle. At this time I am unable to say who the struggle with, if it was one individual or two people. But as mentioned, from what is observed there appears to have been a struggle.”

Superintendent Skippings also appealed to the general public for any information they may have. She asked that those with information to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991.
