Prime Minister and Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Leader, the Hon. Philip Davis along with other party officials recently attended the opening of the Southern Shores campaign office on Carmichael Road.
During his keynote address Mr. Davis said, “we open this headquarters, we open it for a man who is ready to serve Southern Shores, ready to serve with strength and discipline and heart. And as you would have heard he has Bad Brad’s blood, that tells you something. So Southern Shores Obie Roberts is ready. He know this community. He knows our young people need pathways, structure, mentorship and hope. So today, as we open this headquarters I want every PLP in this constituency to understand the assignment. That assignment is talk to people, organize the people, bring out the people, defend our record, challenge the lie, make the case.”
PLP candidate for Southern Shores, Obie Roberts also addressed the gathering. He said, “the constituency office is here to serve for the entire community and I am here for you because this is how it should work. I have been walking these streets, knocking on these doors, sitting in your living rooms and standing at your gates and your message resonates. It is clear and simple you want someone who shows up. You want someone who follows through and you want to be heard.”
Among the attendees were Minister of Transport and Energy, the Hon. Jobeth Coleby-Davis, Ruby Ann Darling, Sir Franklyn Wilson.
