The search continues for Philip ‘Big Mama’ Stubbs, 80, of Grand Bahama who was last seen at his residence on Monday.

Member of Parliament for Central Grand Bahama, the Hon. Iram Lewis announced earlier this week that a search party had been formed to find the elderly man said to be suffering from Dementia and Diabetes.

Since that time, Leader of the Opposition and Member of Parliament for Marco City, the Hon. Michael Pintard has joined the search party. He appealed to businesses and others with surveillance cameras for assistance saying, “we also asked persons who have drones if you could employ your drones in the area to assist us in the search. Anything that you see no matter how insignificant you think it may be please get in contact with us. We appeal to all the Junkanoo if you are able to speak to your members, as many of you would know ‘Big Mama’ is an avid Junkanooer. He’s played a major role in helping to shape Junkanoo in Grand Bahama and has had a national impact and so we appeal to you as well to join in the search.”

Pintard said search efforts will expand. “We intend to look beyond his immediate community, some of that has been done already but, again, we are here today because we believe we should search island wide. He could have gotten a ride out of the area and therefore the tapes or cameras missed him and which directions he went into. And so we want everybody, if you live West End, East End and you may not think that what you saw is significant, it is significant to us. We want everybody to look out for ‘Big Mama’.
