Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, the Hon. Chester Cooper toured South Bimini Airport’s new international terminal under construction, at a cost of $80 million. Deputy Prime Minister Cooper on the same day welcomed inaugural American Airlines flight, Miami to Bimini, on February 14, 2026. In attendance at the day’s activities were Parliamentary Secretary Kingsley Smith, MP; Senator Randy Rolle; Dr. Kenneth Romer, Deputy Director General of Tourism and Director of Aviation; and other government officials.
