The Public Parks and Beaches Authority held their first training seminar of 2026 at the Nassau Village Community Center, Friday, June 26, under the theme, ‘Strengthening Our Team….Elevating Service, Excellence & Professionalism.’ Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources Zane Lightbourne brought remarks, highlighting the relationship between the Public Parks and Beaches Authority, the Ministry of Environment, and also future endeavors to ensure there is growth in these areas, not simply ‘maintenance.’
Executive Chairman Jamahl Strachan echoed the Minister’s sentiments and acknowledged the importance of staff and departmental training being regularly implemented for development and progress to take hold. Managing Director David Barry and Psychologist Dr. Richard Adderley made their contributions to the seminar before a break was called for participants.
