Prime Minister and Progressive Liberal Party Leader, the Hon. Philip Davis traveled to Cat Island on Thursday where he nominated to run in a general election for the eighth time.
Mr. Davis expressed gratitude while speaking with reporters outside of the Administrator’s Office. He said, “I am very grateful to my people of Cat Island, Rum Cay and San Salvador. Cat Island is a place that shaped me and made me who I am today and I’m so thrilled to be able to nominate here in Cat Island to again continue the work that we have been doing together.”
Mr. Davis was accompanied by a large group of supporters including his wife, Ann Marie Davis and his grandchildren. Mrs. Davis expressed excitement while one of the Prime Minister’s grandchildren said, “he’s the best grandpa ever in the whole wide world.” Another said the same and added that his grandpa always gives them candy.
Mr. Davis is vying to lead the country for a second consecutive term.
