Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources, the Hon. Vaughn Miller recently attended an energy conference on the island of Puerto Rico.
While addressing the event, Miller spoke about the impact of Hurricane Dorian on island in The Bahamas. He said, “raising sea levels, intensifying storms and he talked about Dorian being being greater than a category five. The then Secretary General of the United Nations described it as category hell, that’s how devastating it was and we are still trying to recuperate from the affects of Hurricane Dorian. But raising sea levels, intensifying storms and changing weather patterns disproportionately affect our communities and our eco-systems.”
The conference was held in February at the University of Puerto Rico.
