Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis led a delegation of government officials to Barraterre, Exuma on Wednesday to celebrate the new piped water system for that area.
During a commissioning ceremony for the water plant Prime Minister Davis told attendees this latest achievement is part of a larger story. He said, “when every settlement can rely on the same foundations. When opportunity reaches every island then the strength of the whole country is greater. That’s how we build unity, that is how we build pride in our Bahamas. This work will continue settlement by settlement, island by island, we will deliver until every Bahamian feels the same progress you feel today.”
The Prime Minister expressed that his administration is building a Bahamas where everyone has access to the same opportunities across the nation.
This initiative is part of a 9.1$ million infrastructural upgrade by the Water and Sewerage Corporation for the island of Exuma
