A service of celebration was held at the Bahamar Resort this past Sunday as Bishop Neill C. Ellis of Mount Tabor Church retires from that ministry. The event was attended by Governor General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Cornelius Smith, local government officials and local and international members of the clergy.

Bishop Ellis noted, “the journey began with the Lord’s clear directive to us embodied in vision and echoed in a passage of scripture found in Judges 4:6 and I quote ‘go ye up on Mount Tabor and take with you ten thousand men’.”

The sermon was delivered by Bishop Kenneth Ulmer of the United States. He told attendees, “there was a man sent from God whose name was Ellis, who has given his life for the gospel of Jesus the Christ. He has given his life as an ambassador of his King.”

Video messages were played from Leader of the Opposition, the Hon. Michael Pintard and Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis.
