The University of the Bahamas and Commonwealth Brewery have signed a memorandum of understanding. Commonwealth Brewery also donated $250,000 to the university for the advancement of its students.

President of the University of The Bahamas, Eric Roland welcomed the gift. “Through the visionary leadership of Commonwealth Brewery Ltd. you have maneuvered outside the box to see beyond the limitations and challenges of our society to empower others to achieve greatness. The strategy is inspiring to us and to our Bahamian students. This current endowment provides the recipient, in the third year of study, with the opportunity to intern abroad as well. The Commonwealth Brewery entrance scholarship also includes two year employment contract with an entry level position with the company, again exactly what our students need.”
