The unresponsive body of a man was found on Monday at the Williams Town Beach on the island of Grand Bahama.
Second Officer In Charge of the Criminal Investigations Department, Superintendent Nicholas Johnson was on the scene of the discovery. Johnson said the body was examined by EMS personnel and no signs of life or injuries were detected. He also said, “I can say that he was dressed in a dive outfit and appeared to be maybe snorkeling in the general vicinity.”
The Superintendent appealed to the public for information. “We’re asking anyone who may have had a loved one who would have been on the beach, snorkeling or diving during the afternoon to please contact the police at 911 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 350-3106.”
This is the second body to be found in the area in a short period of time. The lifeless body of a 39 year old female was found on May 30th.
