A sixty eight year old man was beaten to death on East Bay Street on Saturday night.
Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Sheria King was on the scene where she provided details of the incident. She said, “our officers from out marine unit was in the area and observed the deceased being beaten about the upper body by another male. Since then that male, the suspect, was taken into custody and is assisting police in our investigation.”
This suspect is reportedly 39 years old. The cause of the incident is unknown. King said, “at this time the matter is being classified as a death investigation until we do further investigation into this matter, a thorough investigation into this matter, and then we will properly classify this matter.”
